Mr. Gary has 25 years of real estate experience and currently controls a 50% interest in Nexus Properties, Inc. and its affiliate, Windstar Communities, LLC. Nexus Properties, Inc., headquartered in San Diego, California, has developed approximately 3 million square feet of suburban office, R&D, biotech and telecommunications facilities since its formation in 1979. Nexus Properties, Inc. has been active primarily in west coast markets such as Seattle, “Silicon Valley”, Orange County and San Diego. In 2003 Mr. Gary formed Windstar Communities, LLC to acquire, develop and operate multifamily residential properties. Windstar Communities, LLC currently has four projects in various stages of development which when completed will provide over 2,400 units of multifamily product for lease. Other properties in Orange and San Diego counties are being processed for future development. The industrial team is developing properties in San Diego County and is pursuing a land acquisition in Orange County.

Mr. Gary has a Bachelors degree in Economics and Business Administration. He was an Officer in the United States Navy for 11 years. During that period he was a Fighter Pilot flying over 170 combat missions from aircraft carriers deployed at sea and served two tours as an instructor in the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School, more commonly known as “TOPGUN”. After resigning his commission, he became a Program Manager in the Defense Division of Cubic Corporation in San Diego, California. In 1980, he joined John Burnham & Company as a commercial real estate broker. After four very successful years specializing in suburban office and R&D markets, Mr. Gary joined Nexus Properties, Inc in San Diego. Since joining Nexus in 1984, Mr. Gary has been instrumental in expanding the company operations into Orange County, the San Francisco Bay Area and into the multifamily housing markets.
